FAQ

Q1What is the biggest difference between onTune and the existing performance monitoring solutions?

onTune can control over 2000 target servers per single manager with real-time (2 seconds interval) collection cycle. It's method of collecting the performance data of the target system in batch without any additional settings after the installation of the agent, minimizes user settings for monitoring, and supports various reports that system operators can use conveniently and with an intuitive screen. Therefore, it can be used very easily without requiring separate user training.

Q2I would like to use it for product verification prior to purchase. Can I use the trial version? What do I need to prepare for use?

If you apply for Trial, we will provide you with a one-month license. If you wish to use additional services after 1 month, you can request them through consultation with the sales representative. For product installation, a server or PC with Windows installed is required, and disk space for storing performance data is required.

Q3This is a new product that I haven't used before. Is there a separate training program on how to use?

onTune uses performance indicators that system operators are already familiar with, and consists of a very easy user interface that allows you to control all items with just a mouse. In addition, the help function is embedded in all screens, so you can immediately check how to use it through the online manual.

Q4 How much storage space do I need for collecting performance data?

The storage space required depends on the performance data collection and storage cycle, however, 4.5GB of data storage space is required per target server based on real-time performance data in units of 2 seconds in the basic collection cycle (15 days storage) and average performance data in units of 10 minutes (550 days storage) . (ex: about 450GB when monitoring 100 units)

Q5What kind of performance items and how many performance items are collected ?

It collects the resource usage of the target server such as CPU, Memory, Disk, Network I/O, and etc., and the status of the performance resource usage for individual processes, individual disks, individual NICs and etc. in real time in seconds, and for the 6 resource areas including the performance according to user definition, ping, Port, File System, Process, and Log, it provides an immediate alarm function through event settings in steps 1 to 5.

Q6 What kind of OS (Agent) are supported?

Commonly used commercial operating systems such as AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Windows, VMWare, and Xen are supported. For special operating systems for embedded purposes, please contact us.
